Terms
In effect since 13 September 2026.
Using ProfileSmith means agreeing to what is on this page. It is short because the product is small: there is nothing to sign up for and nothing that renews.
Who you are dealing with
ProfileSmith is operated by Geary Works, 1380 Rio Rancho Blvd SE #470, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124 (“we”). The $29 purchase is sold through Polar, who are the merchant of record: they take the payment, charge any tax you owe, and issue the receipt. Your contract for the payment itself is with Polar; the product is ours.
ProfileSmith is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to LinkedIn Corporation. LinkedIn is a trademark of LinkedIn Corporation.
The free scan
The scan is free, needs no account, and gives you every finding it has, including the ones that are costing you. It reads either LinkedIn’s own Save to PDF export or text you paste, in your own browser. It will refuse a file it cannot recognise as a LinkedIn profile rather than guess. What it can and cannot judge is set out on the limits page and the scoring rules are published on the rubric page.
What $29 buys
- A rewritten headline, a rewritten About section, and a rewritten description for every role we could read, as plain text you can paste into LinkedIn yourself.
- It is a one-time payment. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and there is no account to cancel.
- One order is good for three rewrites, so a dead tab or a bounced email does not cost you the thing you paid for. Ask for a fourth and the answer is to email us, and we will send it by hand.
- The rewrite is emailed to the address Polar has for you as well as shown on screen. If neither arrives, email us and you will get it.
What we do not promise
- We do not promise you a job, an interview, a recruiter, a view count, or any result on LinkedIn or anywhere else. We rewrite text; hiring is not ours to control.
- The rewrite is written by a language model from what you gave us. Read it before you publish it. It can get an emphasis wrong, and it cannot tell whether what you wrote about yourself is true — that part is on you.
- The scan judges structure and evidence, not whether your career is impressive.
- The site is offered as it is. We do not guarantee it is available at any particular moment, and the third parties it depends on can have a bad day.
The rules for using it
- Submit your own profile. Do not upload somebody else’s profile, CV or personal details.
- Do not use the site to send mail to addresses that are not yours, and do not try to get around the rate limits on the scan email or the rewrite.
- Do not resell, rebrand or automate access to the product, and do not try to break, probe or overload it.
- We can refuse or stop service to anyone doing those things. If we ever stop service to someone who has paid and not received their rewrite, they get their money back.
Your text and ours
Your profile is yours and stays yours. The rewrite we produce from it is yours too — use it anywhere, no credit needed. You give us permission to process your text only to produce your rewrite, which is described in detail on the privacy page. The site itself, the rubric and the wording of the product are ours.
Refunds
Seven days from your purchase, no argument, and you keep the text. The details are on the refund page.
If something goes wrong
The most we can owe you for anything to do with ProfileSmith is what you paid us, which is at most $29. We are not liable for indirect or knock-on losses. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the consumer law where you live.
Changes, and where disputes go
We may change these terms; the version on this page at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to it, which is why the date at the top of the page is there. If we change anything that matters, that date changes with it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, and any dispute belongs in the courts there.
